Our team in Syracuse, NY is adding a Lighting Technical Specialist responsible for: •Preparing lighting project proposals •Preparing lighting project submittals •Supporting Project Managers: -Attend project kick-off meetings -Review lighting order requirements and check pricing -Assist PM as he processes vendor POs thru purchasing -Assist PM as he coordinates equipment deliveries -Collaborate with our control and traffic departments -Assist PM with preparation of close-out documentation -Answer technical questions •Supporting the sales team and their customers -Provide telephone support and troubleshooting -Assist sales people & customers with “how to” questions -Provide or arrange for on-site services as required -Provide or arrange for on-site training as required. •Assist Lighting Team to qualify, maintain and improve lighting vendor and sub-contractor relationships •Identify non-conformities and initiate Corrective Action Reports and Supplier Action Reports as necessary •Commission installed lighting systems - including testing, programming, termination of L/V wiring, troubleshooting and providing owner instruction services.
•Working knowledge of entertainment and architectural lighting control systems. •Electrical construction – contracting or project management, preferred •Theatre/TV/Film – lighting designer or stagehand, preferred •Philips/Signify Factory Certified Technician •ETCP Entertainment Technician •ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Awareness •Applicable QMS procedures/work instructions •Revit BIM Modeling •Working knowledge of TCP/IP based computer networking •Working knowledge of Windows PC hardware maintenance •AutoCAD •Experience with line voltage and L/V electrical testing & troubleshooting •Strong written and verbal communication skills •Excellent organization and time management skills •Ability to work alone, or in a team environment. •Ability to meet strict deadlines •Ability to travel extensively and be on the road for extended periods of time •A/V – systems integration, preferred
