PORT, a leading provider of entertainment and architectural lighting services, is seeking an Installer of Theatrical Lighting and Rigging Systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a crew in on-site rigging projects and ensuring that all work is completed accurately and efficiently. In addition, the successful candidate will perform equipment preparation, maintenance, and repairs as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Lead a crew in on-site rigging projects, ensuring that all work is completed safely and accurately
Double-check paperwork generated by project managers or management for accuracy and field adaptation
Pull paperwork related to projects and review drawings, specifications, and bill of materials prior to installation
Prepare equipment for mobilization and demobilization of installations
Follow all on-site safety requirements
Perform necessary maintenance on existing completed systems
Assist with rigging inspections and dimmer cleanings, and write inspection reports
Perform rigging repairs as needed

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
3 years of experience in technical theatre, lighting, rigging, scenic installation or construction work is a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to lead a crew and work independently
Knowledge of safety requirements and procedures related to rigging and theatrical lighting installations
Ability to perform necessary maintenance and repairs on equipment
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (PORT will provide training if needed)
Mobile Elevated Work Platform certification (PORT will provide training if needed)
